According to the Product Quality Law, the Consumer Rights and Interests Protection Law and the Provisions on the Liability for Repair, Replacement and Return of Some Commodities and other laws and regulations, producers and sellers are responsible for product quality, and products that do not meet the standards shall bear the obligations of repair, replacement, return and other obligations.
The following terms reflect the practises and legal provisions of common brands.
Warranty coverage and duration
Warranty period: The product enjoys a one-year free warranty from the date of purchase (free repair during the warranty period).
Some major electronic components can extend the warranty period. For example, Apple's warranty for the mainframe and accessories of Mac computers is 1 year, while the main components such as motherboard and CPU can be extended to 2 years.
Warranty object: only for genuine products purchased through the official website or authorised channels, and only for the original buyer (non-transferrable).
Valid vouchers (such as regular invoices or order information) need to be provided as warranty vouchers.
Warranty coverage: covers manufacturing defects or quality faults that occur under normal use of the product. For example, Dell's warranty statement states: ""Dell warrants that under normal operating conditions, there are no manufacturing defects in the products covered in terms of functionality, workmanship and materials.
Three-starante service
According to China's ""Three Guarantees"" regulations, the sold products can enjoy the rights and interests of return, replacement and repair during the warranty period.
7-day return/exchange: Within 7 days from the date of receipt of the consumer, if there is a non-man-made performance failure of the host, he can choose to return the full or replace the same model of product, or repair it free of charge.
Some brands also support the ""return without reason"" service (for example, Xiaomi promises to return without reason within 7 days).
15-day replacement: If a non-man-made failure occurs within the 8th to 15th (some large items can be extended to 30 days), the same model of product can be replaced or repaired free of charge.
Warranty repair: From the date of purchase to the end of the warranty period, you can enjoy free repair when the host has a non-man-made quality failure.
Failures outside the warranty period can be paid for repair, and the parts replaced by the company generally still have a short-term warranty (such as 90 days).
Warranty application conditions
Voucher requirements: Users need to go to the designated service point to apply for warranty with valid purchase vouchers (invoice, order number or 3R voucher).
Accessories and packaging: When sending for repair, you should provide a complete product host, random accessories and undamaged original packaging, and keep the product nameplate, serial number and other labels clear and intact.
If the invoice or voucher is missing, the starting date of the warranty can be postponed by 90 days according to the factory date.
Purchase channels: Only goods purchased on this official website or official authorised platform, products purchased through unauthorised channels may not be guaranteed. Please ask the dealer for invoices or other valid vouchers before purchasing to ensure the legitimate rights and interests.
Maintenance process
Contact service: Customers can apply for warranty through the online customer service on the official website or call the customer service hotline.
Send/repair: According to the customer service guidelines, send the products to be repaired together with accessories and vouchers to the authorised service centre or offline service outlets. Please back up your personal data before sending it for repair. The authorised centre will professionally test and determine the repair plan.
Testing and plan: After the service centre detects and confirms the fault, it will explain the repair plan to you. You can choose to repair or replace (if you can exchange the same model within the warranty), and the company will bear the cost of replacing the accessories. For the defective products, they will be returned as they are.
Replacement and repair: If the replacement method is adopted, the replacement of the whole machine or parts will be re-counted to the warranty period. For example, Huawei stipulates: restart the warranty period after the whole machine is replaced; when only parts are replaced, the mainframe warranty will continue to the end of the original period (less than 30 days will be counted as 30 days), and the replacement parts will enjoy the remaining warranty period or 90-day warranty.
Delivery and use: After the repair is completed, the service centre will send you a pick-up notice. Please check the machine function and save the repair report when you pick up the machine. If there is any problem, please give feedback in time.
Exemption clause (non-warranty scope)
The following situations are not covered by the free warranty:
Normal wear and tear, consumables or accessories loss (such as consumables, batteries, power cords, etc.).
Failures caused by unauthorised modification, disassembly or repair.
Damage caused by accidental factors or improper human use, such as falling, liquid intrusion, abnormal voltage, etc.
Failures caused by failure to use or maintain according to the requirements of the product manual.
Unable to provide a valid warranty certificate (invoice, warranty card or serial number) or the certificate does not match the product.
Damage caused by exceeding the warranty period or force majeure.
Other laws and regulations do not fall under the ""three-guarantee"" liability.
Out-of-warrante and special instructions
Out-of-warranty repair: Products beyond the warranty period can be provided for paid repair by the authorised centre; replaced parts still enjoy a limited warranty (usually 90 days).
Extended benefits: If you purchase an extended warranty or accidental damage service (such as AppleCare+, etc.) provided by the company, it will be executed in accordance with the corresponding agreement.
Legal Notice: The terms of this warranty policy comply with relevant national laws and regulations. If there is a conflict with laws and regulations, the laws and regulations shall prevail.
The company shall not be responsible for any additional commitments made by the seller or third party if they are not clearly recognised by the Company.
